Jamie Vaughn, a retired school teacher from Reno, Nevada, dedicated 20 years to educating students in English and Social Studies. She shares her life with her loving husband, Farrell, and embraces the role of a "bonus-mom" to his three children and a cherished "Glamma" to two precious grandchildren. Jamie's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 HER2+ estrogen/progesterone-negative breast cancer in June 2022, just a week after retiring. Supported by her husband and her indomitable spirit, she faced an arduous journey of treatment and surgery. Her determination led her to the transformative DIEP Flap surgery in New Orleans, which inspired her to host the Test Those Breasts podcast, dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors and fostering a supportive sisterhood. Today, Jamie thrives in her retirement alongside her loving husband, a symbol of strength and hope.
